A propos de mes peintures  :
 

Right after my art and design studies in France, I took off for a long trip to London. It lasted 14 years! What a magnificient city, where the melting pot of cultures will get me inspired with a passion for the unknown neighbourhoods! From there I got the opportunity to travel to other countries such as Brasil, Mexico, North Africa, The Czech Republic and so many other places...

Then I packed up my pencils to live in Barcelona where the cultural diversity is as important as in London. There I did compose new recipes in order to carrying on my world cooking. As a result, my researches were directed towards the "ethnic" style with a personal touch to it.
Where with natural & harmony the pictural genres of the world meet together; on the same canvas, a Native American shamman meets a Tibetan monk, as both are experts in curing the souls with sand...

The inspiration is not only "humans" but most of all what they show us with their own beliefs. From one part of the world to the other, they all talk about our "Mother Earth", its natural powers, its skys, waterwholes, fauna & flora... Therefore, to add spices to my mixtures, I tend to use natural components such as wood, sand, semi-precious gems, and gold leaf.

My paintings, like the graphic world of these ethnies, are not only pictural but they also are narrative. In each painting you can discover a story, a place, an animal, a voyage...

With this, I believe the images within their own cultures can, in fact, be a universal language. As we arrive in an era where communication uniformity is king, I think it is very important to keep as much diversity as we can. 

Partie pour Londres après mes études d'art et de graphisme, je commence un long voyage qui durera 14 ans dans la capitale où le brassage des cultures m'apporte une passion pour le lointain, pourtant si proche. J'ai également l'opportunité de voyager concrètement dans les pays tels que le Brésil, le Mexique, l'Afrique du nord, la République Tchèque et bien d'autres...

Je pose ensuite mes valises à Barcelone où la diversité culturelle y foisonne tout autant que dans la capitale britannique.
J'y filtre bien sûr de nouvelles recettes afin de continuer ma petite "cuisine du monde". En résulte une démarche très ethnique, certes, mais avec une touche bien personnelle où les styles picturaux du monde se mélangent avec naturel et harmonie. Sur une même toile je fais parler ensemble le Chaman Amérindien et le Moine Tibétain qui, tous les deux, soignent l'âme en dessinant avec du sable. L'inspiration n'est pas uniquement "les êtres humains" mais aussi ce qu'ils nous montrent par le biais de leur culture picturale. Tous, d'un bout à l'autre du monde, nous parlent de leur "Terre Mère", des forces de la nature, de ses cieux, de ses sources d'eau, de sa faune & de sa flore.

Pour épicer un peu plus le bouillon dans la marmite, j'utilise des matériaux naturels tels que le bois, le sable, les minéraux et la feuille d'or. Mes peintures, tout comme le monde graphique de ces ethnies, ne sont plus seulement picturales mais aussi narratives. Dans chaque peinture on peut découvrir une histoire, un lieu, un voyage... L'image et la culture sont ainsi une sorte de language universel.
